The key to becoming an effective student is learning a way to study smarter, not harder. If you advance in your studies there are a lot of benefits. 1. Set up a Study Timetable.
Students who study whimsically and sporadically generally don’t perform as well as students who have a setup study timetable. Successful students set up specific times throughout the week after they are going to study so they stick with their timetable. Even if you are all caught up with your studies, making a weekly routine, where you setup aside a period of time a number of days a week, to check your books will make sure you develop habits that will enable you to succeed in your education long term.
2. Begin with the toughest subject first.
Believe it or not, beginning with the toughest subject will greatly improve the effectiveness of your educational performance and your study. As your toughest subject or homework will require the mental energy and most effort, you should begin with it first. Once you’ve completed the toughest work, it’ll be a lot easier to complete the rest of your work.

3. Always check your notes before beginning Homework.
Always make sure to take good notes in class. Before you begin each a specific homework, check your notes thoroughly to create sure you know a way to complete the homework properly. Checking your notes before every study will assist you to remember necessary subject matter learned during the day, and make sure youre studying is effective and targeted. Obviously, before you can study your notes you must first have to check.
4. Focus in studying and make sure you are not distracted.
Before you begin studying find a place where you won’t be distracted or disturbed. For a few individuals, this is a quiet cubical in the recesses of the library. For others is in a common area where there’s a little background noise. Everyone gets distracted by something. Perhaps it is your family or even it is the T.V. or even it’s simply too quiet. Some individuals really study better with a little background noise. Once youre distracted whereas studying you (1) are unable to focus both of which will lead to very ineffective studying and (2) lose your train of thought
5. The Study in teams benefits or disadvantage.
Effective students use study teams effectively. Ever heard the phrase “two heads are better than one?” Well, this can be very true once it comes to studying in teams. Working in teams benefits enables you to (1) complete homework more quickly, and (2) teach others, thereby helping both the other students and yourself to internalize the subject matter (3) get facilitate from others once you are struggling to know a concept. However, Disadvantage if team members come unprepared and if they are not structured so study teams can become very ineffective.
